Wolf Hilzensauer

Hi, my name is Wolf Hilzensauer and I work as a researcher and project manager at Salzburg Research Forschungsgesellschaft in the area of mediadidactics and the use of educational technologies. My focus lies in ICT supported innovative educational processes and the use of multimedia, Social Software and personal learnign environments for the development of self oriented learning skills .

My current research is focused on the so called Social Software, namely Weblogs, Wikis and e-portfolios, which I´m applying in the design of didactical concepts for innovative learning environments. Furthermore I develop concepts for competence-based learning processes with the support of ICT-tools.

I´ve been involved in several national and international research projects as a researcher and project manager. Additionally I give talks on conferences and symposia and moderate “hands-on” workshops in the use of Social Software for co-operative e-learning, community oriented and competence-based learning.

In my spare time I enjoy life with my family - my wife and my two boys Max and Felix. We live in a house near Salzburg and we like to explore the nature, the woods and the mountains nearby.
